The DUNHILL MEDICAL TRUST

General grants are to fund work that is NOT research, or research-related.

There are four categories of award.
building grants
equipment grants
core costs/staffing grants
small grants, usually under £10k

A key aim is that the Trust’s funding should encourage and support innovative applications. As a rule to qualify for consideration, grant applications MUST be for an activity with a focus on older people.

The full criteria are set out within the Trust’s GRANT MAKING POLICY.

Connect – the communication disability network aims to promote new opportunities and a better quality of life for people with aphasia. Here, Brian, who has aphasia, is working with Listening Books, a charity which offers audio resources to people with visual impairment, dyslexia, or physical conditions that make holding a book difficult.

Brian’s placement was arranged through 'Access to Volunteering' which works with local organisations to develop an accessible and workable volunteering programme for people with communication disability.
